Blind Date Night – Day Twenty One

The only picture my phone took today

Okay so today I went on my first blind date.

Let me tell you, they are sketchy. The whole time before I am thinging of everything that could go wrong or what could go right. Luckily it actually went pretty well. Although as we all know, dates cost money. Luckily it was a pretty cheap date.

Now there are three things I could have done when it came to money tonight. I could tell the girl that I just met that I forgot my wallet at home and she need to pay for me (bad.) I could make her pay for her self and I pay for myself (still bad.) Or you could go the way I took which is to pay for the both of us like a good date.

After work I went straight to the gym. That was nice because I haven’t had a chance to work out since Monday.

From there I went back to my house and directly into the shower. I got dressed and ate a pizza. Then I drove over to Trevor’s house. It was his girlfriend who set us up.

Oh and if I didn’t already mention it was a double date. Me and her and Trevor and his girlfriend.

First we went mini golfing. We went to this place that I had never been to over by the Del Mar Racetrack. It was only nine dollars a person. So between the two of us that made eighteen.

After mini golf we went back to Trevor’s for a while. For what ever reason Frozen yogurt sounded delicious to all of us. So we went to get some. I bought one that the two of us shared. It came out to like four dollars.

Then Trevor’s girlfriend has to go check in with her dad. So we went and did that for about an hour. After that though me and Trevor were pretty damn hungry so we went to Jack In The Box. I bought myself a Bacon Ultimate Cheesburger. Those things are absolutely delicious if you didn’t know. I also bought the date a Milkshake. So Jack was like six bucks.

But on the brighter side, I got paid today. So for as much as I spent, I made a lot more.

After that we just watched some movies and went to sleep. It was a good night.

Oh and just to explain the picture, it is an inside joke. But it was right outside of the yogurt place.

I Hate Ankles – Day Twenty

Carmel Valley Skatepark

Okay so today was my day off.

Honestly it didn’t go that well.

I had to wake up at 5:30 a.m. to go to my internship class. It might just be me but I am pretty sure that a teenager (the people who need the most sleep) shouldn’t be waking up that early. My Mom woke up after me and she had an early day at work. School hours need to be changed and daylight need to go about two hours forward so it gets dark at seven. I get about an average of seven hours of sleep a night. That is not a lot. Then I am supposed to learn while simultaneously battling sleep. What ever, I could ramble on about that for ever but I wont.

I went to school in the cold ass forty something degrees it was this morning. So I got out of my internship class at about seven ten. After that I waiting a half hour for real school to start. I went to my English class, which for what ever reason, is actually fun for the first time in my life. Then I took a test in psychology class before making construction paper turkeys. So school was actually alright.

After school I really wanted to go ride my bike or exercise of any sort because I haven’t since Monday. That is a terrible feeling. In fact as I sit hear writting this I deperately wish I could go on a bike ride. Regardless though I am aware that is not possible.

I was about to go home and ride but my friend convinced me otherwise. I ended up going to Carmel Valley skatepark. I was stoked to skate. After about five minutes of skateboarding I decided to finish up my warm up my going to skate the bowl. I forgot that I am currently riding Bones STF formula wheels which resulted in me slipping out and twisting my ankle pretty bad. I tried to skate still and was able to a little. It was already numbed from the Aleve I had taken prior due to a head injury via my trunk.

Pretty much went home after an hour. Bad skate day = bad day.

Went back to Trevor’s and watched some movies. Had meat lovers pizza which made me feel worse.

His Dad bought it so still no spending.

How Hard Can It Possibly Be – Day Nineteen

My iPod on the new dock

So today I was fortunate enough to have my friend bring me my second iPod car adapter. And guess what? This one sucks too.

I love my music. That is not and understatement either. I do not upset easy but if you want to get me pissed easily, start talking about music. I am protective of it. I have very strong opinions on what music is good and bad and why so. If you come up to me and tell me Soulja Boy is the best rapper alive I would either punch you are just stop talking to you or maybe just yell at you for being stupid.

Seriously though, don’t tell me that.

The point I am trying to make is I love my music and I absolutely hate hearing it through the vast amount of static this dock seems to bring about. It is to my pure amusement that not one, but two hundred plus dollar pieces of equipment can suck so much.

Luckily tomorrow is my only day off this week therefore leaving me time to go buy a nice good one. My sister spent about a hundred twenty dollars on her’s and it is stellar. I have tried it out. The stand is very secure. The strucure is solid. The HUD is clearly visible. It stays out of the way. It actually plays the music clearly too! You know what the weirdest thing is though? Both are made by the same company. The shitty one I am currently using and the amazing one my sister has, has only a ten dollar difference. How that is possible I don’t know.

Anyway, still no purchases today. There will be one soon when I pay my friend for getting me a third dock hopefully. Damn the things i’ll do for music.

Busy days = little challenge

Tomorrow is my only day off this week which might prove the alternate to the above. Slow day = damn I want that

We will see.

Good night WordPress

Back to the CD, Damn it – Day Eighteen

My Stereo With A CD Playing

So yesterday I gave my new iPod connector back to my Best Buy friend. As much as I wanted to keep it, it actually didn’t preform that well. It gave off large amounts of static and would fall off the dock.

Luckily my homie is super chill and took it back and is going to exchange it for a nicer one. It is a couple bucks more but hopefully this one will work.

I hope so. Because as of now I am back to the same shitty cds that I was talking about a couple posts ago. I am so sick of hearing Gigalo, I love college, Y U smilin’, Anti up, Act a Fool, and that same Iron Madien album.

I hope my friend comes through soon (again.)

On another note, I am stoked for later today. As I have said a couple times, I intern at Transworld. Thanks to that I get access to their private skatepark. The reason I am stoked though is because there is a high possibility that I get to bring my best friend to come skate.

Private warehouse sesh with my best friend and speakers that run through the park that are connected to my iPod. Hopefully I skate well and land a bunch of good stuff.

Normally If I start skateing someone will hear it than grab their board to come skate too. I want to get a crooked grind across the three stair ledge and 5-0 front pop out on it too. Definatly want to hit the over-vert again too. Ill probably try to get a back nose slide on the kicker to ledge but who knows.

I just recived an offer that if I put the word Dong in twenty times Bobby will love me for ever. Who can pass that up?

Dong dong dongdongdongdongdongdongdongdongdongdongdongdongdongdongdongdongdongdong

There we go!

Hooray for love

Finally Some Time For Guitar – Day Seventeen

My Guitars

Today was mellow.

I was stoked that I had some time to play my guitars today. Since I have picked up the second job and started exercising my time spent playing guitar has been slipping. In fact just writting this I am thinking why I should just not do this and go play. Even though I got to play today  it wasn’t enough.

Both of the guitars are freshly tuned and I started my warm-up on the acoustic like normal. I generally play “Wish you were here” by Pink Floyd first. There is just something about that song that sounds so good.

My AE acoustic is the AEL with that extra L standing for large. What that means is the body is a little larger than normal so it sounds louder and more full.

If am always looking for good songs to learn how to play on them so If you have any ideas I would love it if you commented telling me.

As for the whole shopping thing today, again not to hard. One thing I am noticing is the busier I am, the less I am tempted to spend money.

It’s funny. As I am writting this my co-worker is talking to me through Facebook chat and she was just telling me about how she needs more hours because she is broke from spending all of her money at the shop.

I do definatly want stuff too.

As I am mentioned in previous posts, I started riding a rode bike a little while ago. Since then I have lost about twenty pounds and because of that all my jeans do not fit right anymore. What used to be semi-tight pants are now very loose and baggy (which I dislike.) There are a couple nice pairs I want, but even after my discount it will still be about fourty dollars per pair.

So basically same deal as always. School, work, COD haha.

I did buy a sandwhich and a water for lunch though.

A Case of the Mondays – Day Sixteen

A Fun Sign At My School, It used to say Cookie

Today was really easy to not spend anything. Mostly because I didn’t really do anything. In few words I went to school, I played Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (yeah again), Then I went to work, and then to sleep thats about it.

School is never that challenging (as far as buying stuff) for me on one three five days. I have a free fifth period so I get out of school during lunch time. Thanks to that I am never really tempted to go off campus with my friends to go get food.

So I went to English class, and then to break, and then to psychology, and then I went home. When I got home I ate so I didn’t spend money eating fast food. I played more Call Of Duty because that game is epic.

Oh and If you just said to yourself “damn I’m sick of him talking about that game,” then get off my blog because you will be hearing a lot more about it.

I am starting to pretty much dominate that game. Enough so to where I am almost always finishing in the top three on free-for-all, and mercenary team-death-match. Search and Destroy is one of my favorites but the caliber of the peoples skill in that game are much higher than death-match and free-for-all. I am however still getting kills and planting the bombs in it.

So after that I worked. I am always tempted to buy things there. At the moment there are a pair of Altamont Alameda fit jeans that I really want.

Anyway just to explain that photo in the above, it is not completely random. I get hungry at school and that deal always looks good. I mean the real one, not the cock one.

A Whole Lot Of Nothing – Day Fifteen

My Dad Playing Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2

My Dad Playing Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2

So just to point out a nice little fun fact, I have not succesfully gotten my Dad addicted to Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 online. As I am typing this he is playing, and might I add, getting pissed off because he is loseing.

He used to be a pretty good “gamer.” But as time passed he started to work more and play less, thus leading to a decrease of skill.

He has been watching me play enough now to where he decided that he wants a piece of the action. It has been a while since he has played a shooting game so he is quite rusty. However he hates when I am better than him at anything (might I add that I am much better at this game than him) so his mentality is convincing him that he needs to get better quick.

He has a long way to go, but he is on his way. Or in analogy form: He is on a long trail to mastery but his first steps are behind him now.

Damn I like that. Haha I am good.

Anyway today was mellow yellow. I woke up an hour earlier than I set my alarm which is strange but worked out in my favor because I got to eat and play COD before work!

Damn I play this game too much. Actually that game is the reason my work out regimine has declined, my homework has been lagging, my skateboarding has lessend. However, my skill is damn good haha. Not really though, I am good, but there are far better people out there.

So I worked. After that I came home. I played more. I mean shit have you played this game? It is amazing. I heard a little fun fact  online about it too.

Did you know more people have played this video game than seen Batman: The Dark Knight?

That’s crazy shit.

So boring day. Work and game and food, that is it.

No purchases.

R.I.P Eric Striker – Day Fourteen

Eric Striker Memorial Jam

Eric Striker Memorial Jam

First let me start off like this;

I did not personally know Eric Striker, however I did know him through the numerous years of Transworld SKATEboarding magazines that I have read. Even though I didn’t know him he will be missed.

Today I woke up and went to work. Thanks to Brian my nine to four shift was made in to a nine to three. Immediatly from work I went to the Eric Stricker Memorial Skate Jam that was held at Transworld.

I drove over there in a hurry. When I arrived I saw many more people than I had expected, about two hundred I would guess. Because Eric was so heavily involved in the skate industry the majority of those who attended were either Pro/Am skateboarders or other industry co-workers. It was amazing to see so many people come together to just skate and have a good time on Eric’s behalf.

On a somewhat selfish note, I was stoked on the amount of famous skateboarders were there. I have been around my fair share of pros but this was crazy.

Right as I pull in I see all the Sk8mafia team like Kellan James and Nick Tucker. Windsor James was there with a couple other people. Matt Mumford, Jon Goemann, and Conhuir Lynn were just kickin it right there. Ernie Torres, my inspiration for learning Nollie Flips, was skateing next to me doing one. Almost too overwhelming to skate.

Sadly because of this project I had no money on me. Therefore I could not buy the limited edition Striker Memorial T-Shirts, nor could I donate to the Fund.

So in short, a couple tempting purchases, but no actual purchases.

I don’t like this project as much as I thought.

I’m not even saving that much.

Damn.

White Out Game – Day Thirteen

White Out Game

The White Out Game, LCC Vs. Torrey

Today was alright.

I had to wake out a half an hour earlier to go to my first internship class. My Fridays now officially start at 7:10 now, not 7:45.

That was a bummer. Between my two jobs, school, homework, guitar, the gym, my bike, my skateboard, my friends, and CODMW2, I don’t end up getting much sleep. So what little sleep I do get, I cherish. Now Fridays, the day that I am probably going to stay up the latest therefore prompting more sleep beforehand, has been cut down. I know a half an hour doesn’t sound like a lot, but it is.

If you don’t believe me try it. Wake up at 5:30 a.m. and not 6:00 a.m. There is something about waking up before the sun is out that makes it seem way earlier than it is.

So anyway, I went to school and ended up buying a Pop-Tart. Goodbye $1.25 I will never get back. I was hungry.

After that I left school straight to my house to go bike. Due to Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Two I haven’t exercised since Monday. Normally I try to ride my bike at least forty miles a week. During the month of October I rode over two hundred and fifty miles. So not having ridden since Monday makes me feel bad.

Anyway, I rode then I went to Dapnies Greek Cafe for dinner but my mom paid for it so we are all good!

We ended up going to the “Biggest football game of the year.” La Costa Canyon versus Torrey Pines. The game was awesome. We won which is always a plus.

There were five “streakers” during the game. The reason I put that is quotes is because of the following: Technically a “streaker” is someone who streaks butt-ass naked and runs through a sporting event.

These so called “streakers” were in boxer shorts. It just looked stupid. In my book, if you streak and the security guards aren’t chasing you, you’re doing it wrong.

So pretty mellow day.

Not much spending.

Good shit.

Yeah still playing MW2 – Day Twelve

Sun Diego Clothing

Some of what I am tempted to buy each day

So pretty much today was easy.

I went to school, went home, played more Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2, went to work, went to sleep.

Not really tempted to spend money at school ever so that is good. The only thing that sucks is I don’t go off campus for lunch anymore. As a senior in my high school one of my privileges is the ability to go off campus for lunch. About half of my general group of friends go off campus leaving me pretty bored at lunch. I could go off but there would be no point because I can’t buy food and it wastes gas, which i shouldn’t be doing.

After that I went home which allowed me to rot my mind playing CODMW2 from about 12:30 to about 4:20. Just as an update from my previous post where I talked about the vast number of sales CODMW2 obtained, I did some real research and found out the actual number.

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Two sold 4.7 Million copies on the first day just in the United States and The UK. That makes it the biggest launch ever in the entertainment industry, not the video game industry, but the entire entertainment industry. That includes music, movies, and television too.

If that doesn’t prove how awesome that game is I do not know what will.

So after that I went to work. Work is easily the place I am the most tempted. I work retail and my store gets new shipment three times a week. I’m not talking about a couple T shirts here and there either. We get a minimum of like five Costco sized trash bags full. As a employee it is my job to hard tag them all too. So not only do we get them in but I am forced to look through them all.

At the moment there are numerous things I want to buy too. Damn

End Day: +$71.10
